Brunswick County is the southernmost county in the U.S. state of North Carolina.  

It's  855 scenic square miles of land with meandering waterways, 50 miles of idyllic shoreline, abundance of champion golf courses and temperate climate make the area one of the most desirable retirement or relocation destinations in the Southeast.  Southport, Calabash, Leland and Shallotte are the four major towns of Brunswick County, and each offers natural beauty, Southern sensibilities, and a rich history.  The area is naturally attractive since the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway weaves throughout the county harboring boaters from the north and south and with numerous area beaches  –  Oak Island, Caswell Beach, Holden Beach, Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach  

Brunswick County was recently ranked the 28th fastest growing county in the country by the U.S. Census Bureau.
